Before promoting your website to search engines, you should alway make sure your webpage is fully optimized. Otherwise, you won't rank high in search engine. These are a few points tips that you should keep in mind.

• Head Title Tag
  Your title tag is your most important keyword tag. The Title tag should be clear as to the pages content, while at the same time making the user wanting to click on the link. The title should be relatively small, and stay within a 7 to 10 word frame. Don’t use search engine stop words or words like “Home, Default or Index. Use your most important keyword or keyword phrases.
  
• Meta Keyword Tag
  The meta Keyword tag is still important, although the weight of it's importance has dropped and continues to drop. There is also a limit to the length, or amount of characters that can be in this tag, along with limits to how many times each keyword can appear in the tag on each page. Some people have been talked into putting all of their keywords on one page, but after much research we have found this is not the road to good rankings.
  The Meta Keywords tag is not viewable by the visitor to the site as it resides in the HTML coding of the site. This tag is only used by the search engines and directories as a reference to what search results your web site should be in. If you decide to create the Meta Keywords Tags, remember this: you can separate the keywords by commas, but if you do, do not put a space after the commas. This will cause there search engines to see this as an empty space, and also is wasting space in your code
  
• Meta Description Tag
  The description of each web page should go into the Meta Description tag. The description is what users will see when deciding if they should visit your site, so one must be careful when creating it. There is also a limit that most of the search engines and directories put on the Meta Description tag. One of the most important things that you can do for your web site and your search engine ranking to be indexed in the search engines is write a good description and title for your site. If you spend extra time on the title ,description, and tailor it so that it is definitive, concise, and follows all of the guidelines, your web site should not have a problem getting indexed and will positive for your search engine ranking.
  
• Heading Tags
  The Heading tags are tags that specify a certain string of text on the page is a heading. There are different variations of this tag, and they range from heading 1 to heading 6. These tags can be used for search engine optimization purposes to make a certain word stand out more than others to the search engines and robots.
